How to Download the Betika APK

There are two ways to get the app. Google Play is the simplest — search "Betika" and install. The developer is listed as Shop & Deliver Limited, which is the same company that holds the BCLB licenses. Google Play handles updates automatically.

If you'd rather grab the APK directly from Betika's website, here's how:

  1. Open your phone browser and go to betika.com. Tap the green "Download App" banner at the top of the page.
  2. The APK file starts downloading — about 15 MB, so it takes a few seconds on a decent connection.
  3. Your phone might ask you to allow installs from unknown sources. Go to Settings → Security → Unknown Sources and turn it on. On newer Android versions it's per-app, so just allow your browser.
  4. Open the downloaded file and tap Install. Takes about 20 seconds.
  5. Open the app, log in with your phone number and password. If you don't have an account, sign up takes under 2 minutes.

M-Pesa Deposit — Step by Step

You can deposit from inside the app or directly from M-Pesa. Either way the paybill is the same.

  1. Open M-Pesa on your phone and select Lipa na M-Pesa.
  2. Choose Pay Bill. Enter business number 290290.
  3. For the account number, type BETIKA (the word) or your registered phone number.
  4. Enter the amount — minimum KSh 50, max KSh 70,000 per transaction.
  5. Enter your M-Pesa PIN and confirm. Money hits your Betika account instantly.

iOS — Does Betika Have an iPhone App?

No native iOS app at the moment. iPhone users go through the Betika mobile site in Safari, which works fine. You can add it to your home screen for quick access — open betika.com in Safari, tap the share icon, and hit "Add to Home Screen." It behaves like an app from there.

Common Issues

"Install blocked" or "Unknown sources" warning — your phone doesn't allow APK installs by default. Go to Settings → Security and enable "Install from unknown sources" for your browser app. This is normal and not a security risk when downloading directly from betika.com.

App won't open after install — restart your phone and try again. If the problem persists, uninstall and redownload the APK from betika.com. Make sure you have Android 5.0 or higher.

M-Pesa deposit not showing — give it 1–2 minutes. If nothing after 5 minutes, check that you used paybill 290290 and the correct account number. Contact Betika support at 0709 947 947 or email support@betika.com.
